Bill, sometimes called Bill Masaki (a mashup of his English and Japanese names), was often interpreted as a major antagonist, servant of Lord Dome, and father of the host Alice. He is the main antagonist of the Bill Saga, which spanned from Twitch Plays Pokémon Red Version through his death in Twitch Plays Pokémon HeartGold Version. Bill's second in command is a Zigzagoon (from FireRed).
Bill's PC[]
Bill created the Pokémon Storage System, and RED first met him north of Cerulean City after an experiment left him transformed into a Pokémon. After assisting him, Bill gifted the SS Anne tickets.
However, because Bill's associating with the PC, many blamed him for the release of all the Pokémon throughout our journeys and interpreted as aligned with the Dome Fossil, opposite of RED aligning himself with Lord Helix. During AJ's adventure in Twitch Plays Pokémon Crystal Version, some suspected he was up to no good, believing Admiral Vivi to sacrificed himself to save the other's from Bill's PC.
Theories about Bill constructing a time machine or a device of some kind started. His plan was later revealed to be the Randomizer.
Twitch Plays Pokémon Emerald Version[]
In the next gen, A became the next host, and the PC was seen as harmless at first. However, the loss of Zexy, Bill once more became the main antagonist for the run. He sent Trapinch and Pikachu to infiltrate the team. This resulted in the death of Birdcop and the incarceration of Minun in the PC. He imposed a 13 hour time limit, which we failed to meet.
Bill's Daughter[]
In some interpretations, Alice is Bill's daughter (with Teala as her possible mother), who fell ill to the point of hospitalization or even death. Driven by a desire to revive her, this is what originally spurred Bill to seek out Lord Dome and Lord Helix's power. Creating an alternate timeline, artificial world or the such, he made a world where Alice could live. However, the Voices chose her as their next host.
In this new world, Lord Dome and Lord Amber were revived and immediately sent to the PC. This was interpreted as Bill wanting to imprison all the gods in the new world he created.
During FireRed, Bill was experimenting on Pokémon, giving them weird new powers, and taking them to habitats. Alice, the hero of FireRed, is thought to be Bill's daughter. She doesn't agree with what he and Dome are doing and sets out to stop him. Despite this, Bill loves and cares for his daughter.
Bill's Starter[]
In HeartGold, we learned that Abra was Bill's first Pokémon. His Abra later became a creature called Domalakazam.
Bill Falls[]
Bill was killed at the second battle of Mt. Silver during War of the Gods. But his legacy lived on, Team Plasma in Black used his PC to try and release the Pokémon of others.
Trivia[]
- In an episode of the Pokémon anime, Bill wears a Kabuto costume, further linking him to Lord Dome.
